Migrating Humpback Whales off Sydney Beaches
Last Friday, a friend and I went to capture some ocean footage off Long Reef, Sydney. While we had our drones out there, we came across two adult humpbacks and a calf heading south for the southern Antarctic feeding season.
The Australian East Coast Humpbacks travel north from April to August to give birth in the warmer waters of the Coral Sea. From October to December, they slowly make their way south, often stopping in protected beaches and coves en route to the Antarctic waters.
Enjoy the footage in 1080p resolution.
